“...it gathers to an intensity and variety of performance and narrative that is genuinely engrossing, and which does a real service in reviving memories of an important star while also posing questions about the manipulation and exploitation of women in Hollywood that are sadly still all too pertinent. Broadway success surely beckons...”

“Pail paid an introspective homage to the Hollywood starlit through video, dance, acting and live music. She portrayed the conflict between Hayworth’s screen and stage life. Heartbreaking in moments, while humorous in others, the show took the audience on a journey through the rise and fall of fame in the not-always glamorous 1940s."

Ultimately, Ms Pail does allow Rita's multiple characters  to mingle into the people's concept of who this great actress was, in a performance where a single actress played the many roles which another actress had taken on all her life, giving Rita Hayworth some form of control over her colorful life."

ABOUT

Join actor, writer and singer Almog Pail   in an unconventional musical storytelling by 1940’s Hollywood’s pin-up Rita Hayworth, inspired by true events. In Me, Myself and Rita, the slightly demented Rita Hayworth (interpreted by Almog), is taking the audience on a journey full of musical nostalgia, dance and magic. Characters from her past come to life … dance partner Fred Astaire, scandalous lover Orson Welles, and more. Almog will interpret songs from Rita’s most highly rated films, such as Put the Blame on Mame (“Gilda”),  So Near and Yet So Far (“You’ll Never Get Rich”) and Please Don’t Kiss Me (“The  Lady from Shanghai”).

Almog Pail started her acting career in Israel with numerous credits in TV, Film and Stage.
